Add an enquiry form to every vehicle page

Last updated October 6, 2026

The vehicle page enquiry form puts a short Enquire about this car form right on each vehicle page, next to the price. Shoppers fill it in and send it without leaving the car. The Enquire buttons on the page take them straight to it.

Turn it on

  1. Go to Settings → Enquiries.
  2. Turn on Enquiry Form on Vehicle Pages.
  3. Save.

It works on every vehicle page layout. It doesn't appear on private listings, where shoppers message the seller instead.

What shoppers are asked for

  • Their details. The form uses the same fields as your other enquiry forms, set under Settings → Personal Details Behaviour. Shoppers who aren't signed in always give their first name, last name, mobile and email, so your team can reply.
  • Dealership. Shown only when the car can be seen at more than one of your locations. Otherwise the enquiry goes to the car's own location.
  • Their message. It starts with a friendly default ("Is it still available?"), plus quick prompt buttons that each add a line to the message. You can change the buttons (see below).
  • Your enquiry consents, if you've set any under Enquiry Attestations.

On phones, once shoppers scroll past the form, a bar at the bottom of the screen keeps Enquire and Call one tap away.

Signed-in shoppers see their name and email instead of the contact fields. The form only asks for details missing from their account.

Change the quick prompts

Under the message box are quick prompt buttons. Each one adds a line to the shopper's message. The standard buttons are Still available?, Test drive, Trade-in and Finance. You can replace them with your own, for example Free history report if every car you sell comes with one.

  1. Go to Settings → Enquiries. Quick Prompts on the Vehicle Page Enquiry Form appears once Enquiry Form on Vehicle Pages is on.
  2. Click Start from the standard prompts to edit the standard four, or Add to start your own list.
  3. For each prompt, fill in Button label, the short text on the button, and Adds to the message, the line it adds for the shopper.
  4. Use the arrows to change the order, or the bin to remove one. Vehicle pages show up to 6 prompts.
  5. Save.

Remove every prompt and save to go back to the standard four.

Guest enquiries and sign-in

How the enquiry is sent depends on Allow Guest Enquiries, in the same section:

Allow Guest Enquiries Shopper is… What happens
On Not signed in The enquiry is sent straight away as a guest. They're never asked to sign in.
Off Not signed in They press Sign in & send enquiry, sign in or create an account, and the enquiry is sent as soon as they're back.
Either Signed in The enquiry is sent from their account.

When sign-in is needed, the shopper's message is kept on their device while they sign in. That still works if they open the sign-in link from their email in a new tab. The enquiry is sent once, on the vehicle page they came from. A kept message expires after 30 minutes.

After a guest enquiry, the shopper's details are remembered on that device, so their next enquiry on your site is prefilled.

Where enquiries go

Enquiries from the form arrive exactly like ones from the step-by-step enquiry: the same customer record, vehicle, dealership and notifications. Guest enquiries join the customer's account if they later sign in with the same email (see How guest enquiries join a customer's account).
