How guest enquiries join a customer's account

Last updated September 28, 2026

When a shopper enquires about a car without signing in ("Continue as guest"), the enquiry is saved against a guest record, not a customer account. It shows on your Customers list as a guest.

What happens when the shopper signs in

If the shopper later signs in to your storefront with an emailed sign-in link, and that email address is the same one they gave as a guest, Vyro moves their guest enquiries onto their customer account automatically:

  • The enquiries appear in the shopper's own account, in their Deal room (under My cars), with the rest of the cars they are buying.
  • On your dashboard, the enquiries now belong to the customer. If the guest has nothing else left (no test drive, order, trade-in or service booking still sitting on the guest record), the guest drops off your Customers list, the same as when you convert a guest yourself.

An enquiry you have already allocated to a customer is never moved.

When it doesn't happen

The move only happens when the shopper proves they own the email address, by signing in with the link sent to it. It does not happen when they:

  • sign in with a password or a text-message code,
  • create a new account (until they next sign in with an emailed link), or
  • gave a different email address as a guest.

In those cases, you can still link the guest to the customer yourself: open the guest on your Customers list and choose Convert.
