Test a form's automations from Preview
Check what a form does after someone submits it (the customer it creates, the enquiry it raises and the workflows it starts) without publishing it on a page first. Staff of the form's showroom can do this.
A real submit acts like a customer's submission. Workflows may email or text the details you enter, and an existing customer with the same email may be updated. Use a name, email and phone number you control.
Steps
- Sign in at https://vyro.co/access.
- Open All services in the sidebar, choose Forms under Market, then open the form.
- Save any changes first. A real submit runs against the saved form, so the switch is off while there are unsaved changes.
- Open the Preview tab.
- Turn on Save submission and run automations at the top of the preview. Select What will run? first if you want to see what the form is set to do.
- Read the confirmation, which lists what a submit will do, then select Turn on.
- Fill in the form with details you control and submit it.
- Watch the Results column beside the form. On a narrow window or a phone, results open from the bar at the foot of the preview.
Result
The results list what the submit created, as each one appears:
- The submission, the customer (marked as a new customer or a matched existing one) and the enquiry. Each opens in a new tab.
- Each workflow the submit started, with its status and the steps it has taken so far. A step that was skipped or failed says why. Select a run to open it in Workflows.
Workflows can take up to about three minutes to start. While Preview is waiting it shows how long it has been looking. If nothing has appeared when it stops, select Check again.
The switch turns itself off again after you edit the form, save it, leave Preview or reload the page, so the next submit only checks the answers unless you turn it back on.
