How to Enable Finance Product Approval

Last updated May 10, 2026

The Finance Product Approval workflow adds a review step to finance product changes. When enabled, editors must submit their changes for manager approval before they go live.

Prerequisites

  • Your showroom must have the Finance module enabled (so that Finance Products appears in the sidebar)
  • Finance Product Editor must be toggled on in Settings → General Settings → Finance Products

Enabling the Approval Workflow

  1. Go to SettingsGeneral Settings in the Dashboard
  2. Scroll to the Finance Products section
  3. Ensure Finance Product Editor is toggled on
  4. Toggle on Require Approval for Finance Changes

Once enabled, the approval workflow is active immediately. Any changes to finance products by editors will require manager approval before going live.

What Changes

Any user with access can edit and publish finance products directly Editors propose changes that managers must approve

Important: Assign a Finance Manager

After enabling the approval workflow, you must assign at least one team member as a Finance Manager. Without a manager, editors cannot submit changes for approval. You will see a warning callout on the Finance Products page if no manager is assigned.

To assign a Finance Manager:

  1. Go to Team in the Dashboard
  2. Select a user with the Owner or Manager role
  3. Go to their Security tab
  4. In the Access management section, under Services, check Finance Manager

See the Setting Up Finance Managers and Editors guide for full details.

Disabling the Workflow

Toggle off Require Approval for Finance Changes in Settings → General Settings → Finance Products.

Any pending drafts will remain in their current state, but editors will be able to edit and publish directly again.
