Set up MFA to protect your account

What You Need

• Your phone
• An authenticator app, such as:
  • Microsoft Authenticator
  • Google Authenticator
  • Authy

How to Set It Up

1. Sign in to your account.
2. On the MFA setup screen, select Set up now.
3. Open your authenticator app on your phone.
4. Scan the QR code shown on screen.
5. Enter the 6-digit code from the app.
6. Select Verify.
7. Download your backup codes and save them in a safe place.
8. Select Continue.

Important

• Backup codes are one-time use.
• Keep backup codes private and offline if possible.
• You'll need backup codes if you lose access to your phone.

If the Code Doesn't Work

• Make sure your phone time is set automatically.
• Wait for a new 6-digit code and try again.
• If needed, remove the account from your authenticator app and restart setup.
