Showroom User Roles & Permissions

Last updated May 26, 2026

Roles control what each team member can see and do within Vyro. Assigning the right role ensures your team has the access they need — and nothing more.

Role Scopes

There are two scopes of roles:

  • Showroom roles — grant access to all data across the entire showroom.
  • Location roles — grant the same permissions, but data is filtered to a specific location the team member is assigned to.

Role Hierarchy

Permissions are cumulative — each role inherits everything from the roles below it:

Public → Customer → Reporting → Support → Manager → Owner

To assign or change a team member's role, go to Settings → Team Members in your Vyro dashboard.

Role Descriptions

Owner

The highest privilege level within a showroom. Owners have full visibility and control over all showroom data, settings, and team management.

What this role can do:

  • View all showroom data — users, locations, enquiries, and tasks
  • Update core showroom info: name, phone, email, timezone, and public settings
  • Manage team members — add, remove, and update team members
  • Access all features available to Manager, Support, and Reporting roles

What this role cannot do:

  • Change the showroom domain or HTTPS settings — these are managed by Vyro
  • Modify other Owner-level or Admin-level users

Manager

Can view, update, and create data across the showroom. Does not have access to team member management.

What this role can do:

  • View all users, locations, enquiries, and tasks within the showroom
  • Update specific showroom fields: address, email, name, phone, and timezone
  • Update location details (name and other location fields)
  • Update user records (excluding admin-role users)
  • Run data aggregations — counts and sums across records
  • Access all features available to Support and Reporting roles

What this role cannot do:

  • Manage team members (add or remove showroom users) — Owner only
  • Access the full Settings page in the dashboard
  • Modify admin-role, Manager-role, or Owner-role users
  • Delete showroom-level records directly

Support

Read and write access — can view data and update basic records.

What this role can do:

  • View all users in their showroom
  • View enquiries, tasks, and location users within their showroom
  • Create new records: location users, enquiries, and tasks
  • Update user records, enquiries, tasks, and location users
  • Delete location users, enquiries, and tasks
  • View pipeline value and win probability fields

What this role cannot do:

  • Update showroom-level settings or configuration
  • Modify users with Support, Manager, Owner, or Admin roles — can only create or modify Customer-role users
  • Access Team Members management or Settings

Reporting

Read-only — can view data but cannot create, update, or delete anything.

What this role can do:

  • View all users in their showroom
  • View enquiries, tasks, and location users within their showroom
  • View aggregated data — counts and sums
  • View pipeline value and win probability fields

What this role cannot do:

  • Create, update, or delete any records
  • Access Settings or Team Members

Customer

Reserved for end customers. Customers can only view and manage their own data.

⚠️ Important: Moving a team member to the Customer role removes them from your team immediately. They will retain access to the platform as a regular customer but will lose all team-level permissions. This action can be reversed by reassigning a team role.

What this role can do:

  • View their own user profile
  • View their own enquiries, tasks, and payment methods
  • Update their own profile: name, email, phone, and similar personal fields

What this role cannot do:

  • View other users' data or any showroom-wide records
  • Change their own role or system fields
  • Create or delete records beyond their own profile data
  • Access any team or showroom management features

Public

Unauthenticated or anonymous users — very limited read-only access to public information.

What this role can do:

  • View basic public showroom information: name, address, code, and domain

What this role cannot do:

  • Modify anything
  • View user data or any authenticated features

Location Roles

Location roles mirror their showroom equivalents in what they can do, but data access is filtered to the specific location the team member is assigned to — not the entire showroom.

Location Role Equivalent Showroom Role Data Scope
location:manager showroom:manager Scoped to assigned location
location:support showroom:support Scoped to assigned location
location:reporting showroom:reporting Scoped to assigned location

To assign a team member to a location, go to Settings → Team Members, select the team member, and choose their location.
